This Privacy Policy explains how BUILDATECH PTY LTD (ACN 700 799 435) (“BUILDATECH”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use the Construction Gantt app (the “App”) and this website. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Information we collect

Account information: such as your name, email address and the company or team you belong to.
Content you create: projects, tasks, schedules, to-dos, daily logs, comments, photos and videos you add to the App.
Location information: if you allow it, location is used to tag jobsite diary photos and for clock in / clock out records. You can turn off location access at any time in iOS Settings.
Work-hour records: clock-in and clock-out times you record in the App.
Team information: details of teammates you invite or mention, and the roles you assign them.
Technical information: such as device type, operating system version, app version and diagnostic or crash data.
Support communications: information you send us when you contact us.

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

2. How we use information

To provide, operate and sync the App across your devices and with your team;
To send reminders and notifications you have set up or that relate to your team (for example @mentions);
To provide optional features you choose to use, such as AI-assisted writing in Project Story on eligible plans;
To manage subscriptions, provide support and respond to enquiries;
To maintain security, prevent misuse, fix bugs and improve the App;
To comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your project content for advertising.

3. Sharing and disclosure

Content you add to a shared project is visible to the members of that team according to their roles. We may share information with service providers that help us run the App (such as cloud hosting, storage, notification and, where you use AI features, AI processing providers), who may only use it to provide services to us. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others. Some of these providers may store or process information outside Australia; where this happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is protected.

4. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, and as required by law. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing [email protected].

6. Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable period.

7. Children

The App is designed for professional and personal project management and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (www.oaic.gov.au).

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the “Last updated” date above.
